Very insightful conversation this week to discuss the Danny Hashim Autism Awareness Charity and meet members of Danny Hashim's family. Thank you to Foysol Choudhury MSP for Lothian for organising and chairing this discussion.

Danny sadly took his own life aged only 18 in October 2022. We discussed the issues surrounding the lack of awareness and support for autistic people, which as Convener of the CPG on Autism is something we are working to improve.

More training for people in schools is absolutely vital, and more funding is needed towards CAMHS and mental health support.
