I’ve heard from many people who are concerned that they haven’t received their Covid-19 booster vaccine letter, with one of my constituents being advised that they’ll need to call to book their own appointment if they don’t receive a letter by October 15.
I’ve written to the Scottish Government urging them to clarify whether patients who do not receive their Covid-19 booster vaccine letter by the end of the week, need to phone to book their appointment.
It shouldn’t be up to our most vulnerable to phone a helpline to get answers – these should have been made clear well before now.
The messaging from the Scottish Government hasn’t been clear enough and I’m concerned people will not be aware that after Friday, they themselves actually have to book an appointment.
There is a real risk uptake to begin with might not be as high as it should be simply because people weren’t aware of the procedure.
