I know the Scottish Government’s new quarantine regulations has concerned many of my constituents – especially for offshore workers involved in overseas projects.
Asking offshore workers to isolate alone for 10 days in what would be vital home time is unacceptable. I have therefore spoken with OGUK and written a letter to the Scottish Government asking them to clarify whether exemptions will be made for the offshore workforce.
Further guidance is also needed for those with caring responsibilities, or who are currently abroad and want to return home to their families. I will keep pressuring the SNP Government for these answers.
