This month, I spoke in the National Lyme Disease Awareness Month debate in Parliament.
I have been involved with the campaign to improve awareness, diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease ever since I was first elected in 2016. In those 7 years the silence from the SNP Government in raising awareness of this disease has been deafening.
So yesterday I asked the Minister to tell me where the public awareness campaigns of Lyme disease are and what commitments will the Government make to improving awareness, testing and treatment of Lyme disease.
In the Scottish Government’s absence, the Tick-borne Illness Campaign Scotland have had to step up to provide vital information to the public about Lyme disease.
