Recently, two rare grey squirrel sightings were reported in South Aberdeenshire. If you are in that area, please keep an eye out for grey squirrels and report sightings on the Saving Scotland's Red Squirrels website.

Saving Scotland’s Red Squirrels is particularly interested in sightings north of the River North Esk near Laurencekirk. Grey squirrel incursions pose a risk to this area, where red squirrels are currently thriving, thanks to the dedicated efforts of staff, volunteers, and landowners over recent years.
