I was pleased to have a group of students from Banchory Academy help with clearing the paths along the Dee from debris caused by the recent floods.
The group worked extremely hard to clear huge piles of wood and rubbish from the paths for people to be able to enjoy our wonderful footpaths once again. As you will see from the photographs, they certainly cleared a lot!
I was also very happy to recently action a request from the Banchory Paths Association to clear the vegetation from a path at the top of Mount Street in Banchory.
Hopefully this will make it easier for those with pushchairs and also allow a safer route for walkers as opposed to using the roads to avoid this previously overgrown path!
Many thanks to Banchory Paths Association for their help - you can find out more information on the group at http://www.banchory.org/community/projects/banchory-paths-association/
Always looking for new members and a group who do a lot of work towards the upkeep of our fantastic footpath networks in and around Banchory, as well as ensuring existing paths and development of new footpaths are always in process.
