As you may know, National Grid has just published a new Networks Options Assessment (NOA) report which recommended that the project should not proceed. This is a great victory for the area, but NOA recommendations are updated each year so the project could still pose a threat.
 
Last night I co-sponsored a debate with Mike Rumbles MSP on the proposed Blackhillock to Kintore Transmission Line to voice our concerns about the impact on local communities. As I mentioned in my speech this matter has not completely gone away and we will be reviewing in the coming weeks the best way to take this forward.

I know this issue is one that affects many members of the constituency, and I will continue to keep it at the forefront of the agenda.
