Firstly a huge thanks to 15,916 people in West Aberdeenshire & Kincardine who voted for me - its a very humbling experience and I'm only sorry we couldn't get our message across to more of the unionist supporters.

It has been an incredible year since I was selected in Scotland's second Open Primary and I'm so glad to have had to opportunity to do this, to meet so many people and visit every part of the constituency - its been a fantastic experience which I'd definitely recommend to anyone interested in politics. The support from the team, party members and volunteers has been tremendous and we would have got nowhere without you. Both the party and the constituency association are stronger than a year ago and I've no doubt that this will bode well for the future.
