Today I joined constituents outside Holyrood at their protest against pylons and windfarms destroying our countryside.

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and a huge thank you to everyone across the north-east who came down to stand up for our rural communities.

I also delivered a speech in Holyrood on this issue. I asked Energy Minister, Gillian Martin MSP if she will give communities a statutory voice in the planning process and meet with the communities affected by her Government’s plans to decimate our countryside. Communities cannot be ignored.
