Great news that Beauly to Kintore Pylons will NOT be going ahead.

I have had many constituents contact me over the proposed line and I managed to get these through to SSE directly.

We have held many meetings over the past few months with SSE and constituents at parliament. These were extremely productive.

Next Tuesday we will debate a motion I co-sponsored that discusses the pylons and I look forward to speaking in it.

This is especially welcome news as I was up Bennachie on Sunday with the family and it is fantastic that this view will remain unspoiled – windy and snowy which made the view all the more worthwhile.

Well done to WAPA (and previously CLAMPA) for their continued persistence but there are still unresolved issues which we will continue to pursue
