Alexander Burnett today welcomed the announcement by the Conservative Led Government that there would be £36 billion invested in 200 infrastructure projects this year. Whilst recognising that the Government has had to take difficult decisions to control day-to-day spending and reduce the defecit, it was these decisioons that have enabled the Govenrment to back British Business with better infrastructure.

Commenting, Alexander said, "As a local businessman and employer, I welcome this announcment as further proof that the Conservative led government is backing business with better infrastructure so that more jobs and opportunities are created for hardworking people. This means more financial security and peace of mind for families and is yet another reason that we are Better Together in Britain."
