I was delighted to attend the Aboyne Highland Games on Saturday, the first time the event had been held in three years!
It was a brilliant day out, with a tremendous turnout and a pleasure to pop by a variety of local businesses.
As well as being a fantastic local event full of history, heritage, music, dance, and sportsmanship, the games also raise a significant amount of money for local community groups. I was delighted to be able to recognise this in Parliament recently by lodging a motion commending Aboyne Highland Games for their donations to Charleston Rovers Football Club, Deeside Day Care Centre and Lumphanan Gala Committee.
I encourage everyone who attended the games to share your views in the Aboyne Highland Visitors survey to provide much valued feedback.
