On Monday, I held a surgery in Banchory where I listened to local concerns from constituents.
On Wednesday, I attended my Finance Committee meeting, where we discussed the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill (UK Parliament Legislation).
In the evening, I attended a presentation and discussion on a new project which aims to ascertain whether it would be possible to construct a 100% Hydrogen network. The project intends to build on previous evidence indicating that hydrogen could play a key role in the decarbonisation of heat and transport, and also to behave as a form of storage for renewable and other forms of low carbon power.
On Thursday, I attended a meeting to discuss Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Programme (SEEP), followed by another meeting with the National Insulation Association, in order to discuss how to ensure Scotland’s energy efficiency through effective means.
In the afternoon, I attended FMQs and later took part in the Stay Warm This Winter campaign, hosted by British Gas, before attending the afternoon debate on the Presumption of Mainstreaming.
On Friday, I attended an Aberdeenshire Council meeting with MSPs and MPs across the North East, before convening with my fellow Scottish Conservative North East MSPs and MPs to discuss the most effective way we can work together for the benefit of all in the North East, across Westminster and Holyrood.
On Saturday, I attended the North East Conference, and it was a pleasure listening to various speakers present their vision for the future of the Scottish Conservatives, plans for the future of Britain as a whole in terms of issues such as Brexit, as well as hearing from politically neutral parties such as Dr. Bill Reith, who provided some excellent information that will help us with our Save Our Surgeries Campaign.
