On Wednesday, I attended my first Finance and Constitution Committee meeting since moving from the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee at the end of June. At lunch The Gordon Schools from Huntly came to visit Parliament and it was a pleasure to meet them and answer their questions.
Later that day, I attended the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning photo call, held by Macmillan Cancer Support and in the evening, I went to the Federation of Drink and Food Scotland Parliamentary reception celebrating the diverse range of food and drink manufacturing companies in Scotland.
On Thursday I held a meeting with Fiona Muir from Digital Scotland to discuss with her the issues which many of my constituents face with broadband coverage and speeds. I then attended First Minister’s Questions and listened to the Scottish Government’s debate on their Programme for Government 2017-18 (Public Services).
On Friday, I held a street surgery for my constituents in Westhill where they were able to inform me of local concerns.
