Since being elected to the Scottish Parliament, I have been a strong advocate for raising awareness about the lack of access available for diagnosing and supporting those in the autistic community.
In 2017, I Co-Founded the Cross-Party Group on Autism because it became very clear that there is not enough support in place for neurodivergent people. I am proud to continue serving as the Convener of the CPG, which is one of the most well-attended CPGs in the Scottish Parliament.
I have also campaigned for greater support for autistic people and their families and have worked directly with constituents, particularly with regard to education and employment opportunities.
